This train, running from Fianarantsoa to Manakara, is the only one at week that visits a lot of isolated villages in the middle of the forest. People of the villages gather at the train station waiting for hours till the train (with erratic timetables) arrives. It’s a chance to make some business.

La llegada del tren es la fiesta grande de la semana. Para muchos de los lugareños es la mejor oportunidad de hacer algún dinero. Numerosos vendedores ambulantes acuden al tren en cada estación.
