Location: Crytal Cave, Vatnajokull glacier, Iceland.
Iceland never stops amazing you. Better you come here without expectations. Well, you can tell so to everything in life. But especially about Icleland. This is a place plenty of wonders and if you focus in just one, you’ll miss other great ones.That was about to happen to me with the ice cave. Because I came to Iceland running away from myself and looking for auroras in order to find any port in a storm. Fortunately beauty surrounding me balanced out the dissapointment of hardly see something like an Aurora borealis (today I know it was an irrelevant aurora compared to anothers but for me it was very important, my first). Among the lot of things that kindly surprised me, I would highlight to explore an ice cave. Such a magnificent beauty is hidden deep inside the soul of the glacier.
Islandia nunca deja de sorprenderte. Lo mejor es venir aquí sin expectativas. Bueno, eso puede aplicarse a Islandia y, probablemente, a todo en la vida. Pero, en especial, en el caso de Islandia. Es un lugar con tantas maravillas por descubrir que si tu objetivo es una en concreto, probablemente te pierdas la magnifica belleza de otras muchas. Eso estuvo a punto de ocurrirme con la cueva de hielo. Porque a Islandia vine huyendo de mi realidad y buscando alguna aurora a la que aferrarme como a un clavo ardiendo. Afortunadamente la belleza que me rodeaba compensó la decepción de apenas ver algo parecido a una Aurora boreal (hoy sé que fue una aurora irrelevante comparada con otras, pero muy importante para mí por ser mi primera). Y de las muchas cosas que me sorprendieron gratamente, destaca explorar una cueva de hielo. Es indescriptible la belleza que se esconde en el laberinto del alma de los glaciares.
